Follow Friday/Blog Hop (March 4th, 2011)


It's my second ever Follow Friday and I almost forgot about it!  Hopefully I'm not too late to meet lots of new followers and find lots of new blogs to read!

Today's question:  What embarrassing thing have you done on cold medicine?
My answer:  A boring nothing.  I only take medicine when I am extremely sick and that's once in a blue moon.  I usually just tough it out and wait to get better.  I hate being sick though and if I really thought something might help me feel better I would take it.  I guess I haven't had much luck with things like that actually working.  Usually they just taste terrible and that's the most significant change I notice: the flavor in my mouth.  Lol.

Today's question:  Who's your all-time favorite book villain?
My answer:  Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz who is one of the Vogon aliens who likes to punish people with terrible poetry.  He's very evil and very ugly, but using bad poetry as a form of attack is truly a low blow.  :)  Here is his great (horrible) poem from The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams:

    Congrats on being a new blogger ... I have been doing this for almost a year and I'm still learning new things.

    I'm with you, cold meds only make me sleepy. I took some non-drowsy meds before going to work one day. Got there and fell asleep snoring. Boss sent me home and they got a joke.

    I'm the same exact way I hate taking medicine, and the doctors. I usually only go if I get yelled at by my co-wrokers or my family. I know about the nasty taste I work at a pharmacy so all the liquids and some pills too have a smell.

    Hard questions this week, aren't they?
    Well, I don't really take cold meds, they do test horrible and don't have so much as an effect. I just sleep a lot and drink hot tea with honey and lemon when I'm sick.
    I haven't heard about the villain you mentioned, I guess I should be check him out.
