Today's question: How did you come up with your blog name?
My answer: I just thought of it when I decided to start my blog (almost a month ago now!) and I thought it was a cute twist on a classic phrase and I certainly am a "nook worm" with how many books I read and almost all of them are on my NookColor now.
Today's question: Do you read only one book at a time, or do you have several going at once?
My answer: I used to stick to one book at a time since it was so confusing trying to remember what I had been reading and trying to keep enough room for all my current books near my bed or trying to have a large enough bookmark collection as well. However, now that I have all my books in one place (my NookColor), it's just as easy to put one off to the side and start something else, so I find I usually have a bunch of books I am part-way through these days. If I get a really good book, I'll often read it cover-to-cover, or at most, in two sittings, but if it gets a little boring, I might set it aside and look for something else. It's so great knowing I can return to these books at anytime and the NC will have my spot saved and I don't have piles of unfinished books laying everywhere.
Thanks for the follow. I'm already following you.
ReplyDeleteI think I might be logged in as another profile and double-following people now... oopsies if so!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog :) I have a nook too, I love your blog name. And you know what's funny that whenever I see the word 'nook' in any other context I now immediately think of the device LOL xD

Your blogger name is totally cute, I kinda like how you came up with it. Sounds like something I might do. :)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't actually thinking a Nook Color when I saw your name, I was more along the lines thinking you had a nook somewhere that you crawled into and there you sat for hours reading. lol. I don't know what to do with my mind sometimes, honestly.
But, I do kinda like your blog, it's cute. And it's also interesting and I'm definitely going to take the time to explore it a little bit better later tomorrow. :)

Hehe, I fed your fish!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog name by the way!
I read multiple books at a time, but in different formats. If I'm reading a book on my Kindle, I stick with that book. I have a hard time just closing that to start another one. So I read one on the Kindle and one physical book at a time.
I always thought you had a great blog name! Old follower stopping by via the hop!

Truly Bookish
I like your blog name! Since the hype or appearance of ereaders, it's a cute name to have!
ReplyDeleteI get confused with too many characters and plotlines as well if I read more than one book at a time. It sometimes takes me awhile to catch up in a series when I go to read the newest release and the previous one was last year, just because I've read so many other books (one at a time) :) between it!
Here's my Friday Hops
Have a GREAT weekend!

I do agree that it's easier to read a whole bunch of different books when you have an eReader. Just the convenience I guess with having your entire library at your fingertips :)
ReplyDeleteI love your name-super cute! I'm impressed that you can juggle so many books at the same time-I try to be very disciplined and only read one nookbook at a time (in addition to a hard copy book of course)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to buy a nook today. lol I'm your newest follower. Have a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I'm an old follower of yours too :)
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that it is so much easier to read more than one book when you have some sort of e-reader. Since I can't work much because of my heart condition, I am soooooo broke, so I found a cheap alternative to buying a Nook Or Kindle-I just downloaded a bunch of e-reader apps to my iPod touch. Wish my screen was a little bigger, but other than that, I'm completely satisfied with having all of my books stored in one place. I still love buying hard copies of books, but when I don't have time to get to Barnes and Noble, my iPod is the next best thing.

ReplyDeleteThanks for following! I love reading more than one book at a time. Need to get a Nook!
ReplyDeleteNot everyone can multi-task and nobody should. When it comes to book sure, I can't read four books simultaneously (or even two, for that matter!) but there are times I'll juggle as many as four books at a time depending on the subject matter, the urgency or more often both.
ReplyDeleteThe real trick to this is what KINDS of books to juggle. Hop on over to my blog and learn the method behind my madness - http://www.howardshermannet

Very cool blog name and I'm following you! And thanks for the follow!
ReplyDeleteHopping through. I'm impressed with the community that Nook users seem to have. Do you know whether Kindle users have that too?

Thanx for the follow. I am following you back. But if we're all following, who exactly is leading? ;)
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by from the hop. I wonder if I had any kind of e-reader if I would read more than one book at a time. At any rate, I'm a new follower. I'm looking forward to reading more of your reviews.
